Marlon Brando

I know this isn't directly about Solomons Island, but the vibe was the same this afternoon on the other side of the Patuxent as I left work. The bright sun, breeze and developing cloud drew me to a longer ride home today.  Driving along the river to a beach didn't take very long, but quickly brightened my mood.  It was good to be outside rather than cooped up in a cubicle.

There were plenty of honeysuckles along the way, and if you didn't clearly see them, the aroma was noticeable to anyone with an olfactory organ.  Though not everyone is fond of the strong fragrance, I enjoy it.

The Honeysuckle vine was covering the berry bush . you can see the two different flowers

The colorful beach umbrellas on the beach provided for  a nice bit of contrast to take in the convective formation.  It also looked like someone was playing with little stones placed on a long tree trunk left stranded high on the beach.

Perhaps the best part, though, was meeting some new friends.  A huge dog was in the back of a pickup as I walked back to my truck.  His owner was hopping out for a stroll on the beach and he let the big pup out.  It turns out that Paul Z and his 17 month old Cane Corso (Italian Mastiff) were both equally friendly.  The big dog, named Marlon Brando, doesn't know his own strength yet though, and he wi ll readily put his weight into your leg seeking some attention.  This 150 lb youngster comes across as almost a little goofy, but so much fun.  He listens pretty well, and is definitely a curious guy. I didn't take too many photos really, but got a couple that I liked.  Paul's photo didn't fare as well, he's not really in focus, but I include the shot anyway, so you get a sense of his easy going nature and smile.  It's a good day when you meet friendly folks.

So, there's a photo of Marlon Brando the actor if that's who you expected me to be writing about.  I don't know... maybe there's a little family resemblance?

Till next time..

Have a good day,
Make a new friend,

Peace,
Brian
