Another new friend?

I just have to say it again.  Solomons has a certain aura about it.  People are relaxed and friendly.  A dad and his daughter were out for some ice cream, strolling down the walk, when we struck up a short conversation.  Sheldon and Nadia were having a great day.  I'm finding that we are all more alike than different.  Asked if they come to Solomons often and why.  His response could have been mine.  "It's just so peaceful here."  We didn't talk long, but I told them about my hobby and blog and they allowed me to take a few photos.  I should have used a flash, but it worked out okay I think..

Sheldon suggested we take the photo in front of the bridge

It just makes me smile when people are so friendly.  I'm smiling as write this just remembering these two beautiful folks.

I wandered around a little more before church started.  The first thing to catch my attention was the sound of some Harleys.  I turned around to see two bikes, a guy leading followed by a woman.  The more interesting thing was she had a smoke in her mouth.

There were a few bikes in the parking lot and I snapped a few shots of one of them.

After walking over in near the waterway that creates the island, I noticed some snails on the concrete raceway.  Then looking over to the grass lined bank, I realized that the grass had snails all over the place.

Since I was getting short on time I started heading back to the church.  I took a few more photos on the way of course.  One of the pilings cause I liked the angles and symmetry.

Then at Bunky's I was struck by the unusual fishing rod holders on one of their boats (Osprey.)  They were gold.  It's a coating of course and not real gold.

Then a boat was coming to dock for some gas, and the dog onboard was really wanting out.

The sky was blue, the temperature in the 60's.  It was just another fabulous day on Solomons.  I guess the point in this post is that just wandering from point to point and you'll find something interesting to take in.  There wasn't a theme I was looking for in advance.  There wasn't a specific topic I wanted to cover in this post.  It really is just about wandering around and seeing what pops up in front of your eyes.. and ears.

Blessings,
Brian.
