Summer is here... now that it's September

I took a run over to Solomons  this afternoon.

There was pretty much nothing going on.  The 95 F temperature and little breeze kept nearly everyone away.  There were a few walkers and a couple brave souls jogging.  Even the ice cream shop on the River Walk (Coney Island) had only a few customers that ate quickly or ducked in to an air-conditioned car.

With so little going on I looked for a few other shots.

There is one farm left on the island.  This year it has some corn that is about ready for harvest I would guess.  The stalks are turning brown and looking pretty dry.

Though things change slowly for the most part, there is sign of some modernism with the couple homes above.

Then there's the bridge of course!  This time, since there weren't even many boaters at the ramp which is right alongside the bridge, I took a few shots there.  I tried my hand at some 'artistic' impression by throwing the contrast and highlights, shadows, whites and blacks around till I came up with these.

Till next time,

Brian
